About Sheran M. Simo
By profession, I am an
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse dually certified in
Hospice and Palliative Care & Family Practice who became interested
in jewelry making as the child of a Master Silversmith & Leathersmith. As
an adult, I began creating jewelry for my personal use. As people
responded enthusiastically to the pieces I wore to work, I began to sell those
and create custom pieces for a growing clientele of men and women. I work
with the energy of the stones to design pieces that are vibrationally
dynamic and can promote health and an overall sense of
well-being. Not to mention, they ARE beautiful!
It all began in August
2006, when I purchased supplies to start creating my own beaded jewelry.
In January 2008, I trained with a highly respected wire-wrap jewelry artist in
Chicago, IL and began creating custom wire wrap pieces different
from most seen on the market. Since that time, I began exploring the
intricacies of Chainmaille and have added Chainmaille to my design
capabilities. In August 2010, I began training in Metalsmithing with another
talented jewelry artist in Indianapolis, IN and so expanded my
I create one-of-a-kind
and limited edition Metalsmithed, Beaded, Chainmaille, Wire-wrap and Kumihimo, Braided
& Knotted jewelry pieces with interesting color combinations and
classic styling. I use high-quality gemstones and precious
metal components. My wire wrap is complex, organic, and rich
and I have a wide variety of cabochons to create original pieces of
jewelry, including bracelets, pendants, and earrings.
